Our WHY

“To care wholeheartedly so that together, we never stop growing.”

This is the motivation that pulls our Showcarians out of bed each morning, and we’re passionate about sharing it with our clients. A desire to help one another grow is at our team’s core.

What this means for you

Care is easy to claim, so we prove it instead. Your account lead stays with your event year over year, so knowledge compounds. When a client tells us their conference was “the most flawless we have had in my 7 years,” that is our WHY doing its job.

Our HOWs

Our HOWs are the behaviours we live each day to make our WHY real. It is how we bring it to life that makes Showcare different.

  • Be there for one another

We embrace a collaborative mindset and are always there to support one another. If your project manager is on a plane, someone who knows your event answers anyway.

  • Help others evolve

Be generous with others and contribute to their growth. We share what we know with our clients: playbooks, benchmarks and straight answers.

  • Be adaptable and resilient

We stay open minded and adjust our path to get past obstacles. Something always changes onsite, and we have run 5,000+ events, so the contingency plan exists before the problem does.

  • Bring your best, always

We apply our best skills and effort to everything we do. Flawless execution is the standard, not the stretch goal.

  • Be authentic

We encourage everyone to share their own perspective. That means straight answers on the budget, the timeline and in the room. If something is at risk, you hear it from us first.

  • Do what’s right

We are honest, we act with integrity, and we treat people fairly. You always know who owns what, and no issue is too small to escalate.

From Laser Registration to Showcare: four decades, one focus

Our roots go back to 1982. The best known of them is Laser Registration, founded in Montreal, which grew into one of North America’s largest event registration and housing providers, built to take the operational weight off event teams.

In 2010, everything united under one name: Showcare. Same people, same obsession with getting the details right, a broader partnership. Four decades in, we have delivered more than 5,000 events. In an industry where vendors come and go, we are still here.

Frequently asked questions about Showcare

Showcare is an event management and technology partner built for associations and professional societies. Founded in 1982 as Laser Registration, the company provides registration, housing, onsite event management, sponsorship sales, and event marketing, and has delivered more than 5,000 events.

More than 40 years. Showcare was founded in 1982 as Laser Registration and unified under the Showcare name in 2010. We build long-term partnerships, with many clients working with us for over a decade, and some for more than 20 years.

Associations and nonprofits of every kind: medical and healthcare, science and engineering, education, government and public, energy and utilities, and trade and professional. We know the use cases and language of each, from CE tracking to abstract deadlines, and we support every event format, from annual meetings with thousands of attendees to monthly webinars.

Yes. Most clients come to us from another vendor. A named transition lead stays accountable from kickoff through your first event, covering data migration and integrations along the way. References from associations who made the switch are available.

Showcare’s team works remotely across North America, supporting events across the continent and internationally. Wherever your meeting is, we’re onsite when it matters.
